Early April we were desperate for a trip north so we packed a lunch and made off to “the Bacchus”. We were not disappointed! The road was clear! Snow was melting and new beginnings were in the air! When we opened our front door we were in for a big surprise! To say wow is an understatement!
We had squatters for the winter! The red squirrels had fun chasing each other! There was insulation and droppings every where! Chewed up cushions and quite possible a martin trying to help us with population control with larger items knocked onto the floor.
The list of supplies needed was made. Woodpile was as we left it as well as our propane! Of course we cooked hotdogs on the open fire as well has hot chocolate. Boy was it cold! No snow but chilly! We are excited to try this thing called living off grid again!
